Title: Siegmund von Hausegger or another Mahler?

Does anyone remember, sometime in the past year it was asked here at the board if there are any composers since Mahler, who sound like Mahler?

Someone suggested Siegmund von Hausegger as a possibility. 
I've listened to his "Natursymphonie" twice and I'm still unable to put him anywhere near Mahler.  Yes, at times some of his music resembles Mahler's, but it doesn't have the continuity and coherency of Mahler.

So my question is this:
Is anyone familiar with Hausegger,
OR
Is there another composer at all like Mahler?

I don't know another composer, but do think that some parts of R. Strauss's Domestic Symphony and Alpine Symphony sound like Mahler. And that's why I love these Strauss pieces most among all his outputs.

Also, some parts of Shostakovich Symphonies such as the 4th, 7th, 8th, and 13th sound like Mahler.

If there were other composers who sound like Mahler we wouldn't care about him so much because he wouldn't be special.

Hausegger is more R Strauss than Mahler.

I would agree that Shostakovich's 4th is the most Mahler-like of his works.
