Jonathan Nott's M3 on Tudor
« on: December 17, 2013, 07:40:53 PM »
I mentioned the Stenz M3 recently. but also want to take note of Nott's M3 recording on Tudor. I like this one just as much as the Stenz, it's very different too. More plushy, not so angled and fast, with a tone of reverance in the last three movements, much like Abbado's DG account. I really like the sound picture too. It sounds large and has a fierce low end, good percussion. Both Stenz and Nott have awesome, bigger than life sound.
