Go to the very end of the 7th symphony and watch/listen to the timpani part. I think Shostakovich may have been deliberately quoting the end of the "Kindertotenlider" (celesta and soft violins). The spot starts one second before 1:18:00.

Here's "Im diesem Wetter" with Sarah Connolly. Jump to the 5:28 mark. I only chose this one because the celesta is fairly clear on it. A really great performance on Youtube is the second one below, but the celesta is hardly audible (Mathias Goerne/Jonathan Nott/G.M. Youth Symphony)

It's a tad slow but it's very detailed and very well sung.
