Let's add Mahler 3 as yet another work the Vienna Phil. just owns. Andris Nelsons isn't a 'great' Mahler conductor, yet, but he's getting better at it. My only gripe is that the Mezzo is well less than great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7CZC3R3Fe4

It's certainly well filmed and pretty well recorded. I'm hoping they'll put this out on a DVD.

Nelsons is a bit too cautious and pondering in the beginning of I. I also would have preferred stronger brass in the closing pages of VI. Otherwise, this is an excellent performance well filmed (like Barry said).
