Title: New Carpenter M10 with Lan Shui and the Singapore Symphony
Post by: Russell on September 24, 2010, 01:23:18 AM
Just noticed this as an upcoming release on Blu-ray (and presumably DVD) on Euroarts:

It's the same conductor/orchestra that did the interesting (but rather lackluster) Cantonese version of DLVDE on BIS.....

Thanks! I'm not sure about the orchestra/conductor, but given the interesting price, I'll give it a go.

Russell,

I don't see any indication that it's on Euroarts. Did you see that somewhere?

I have Farberman and Litton recordings for the Carpenter ed. which is favorite version of the complete M10th.

I look forward to this new release. I heard this band has been playing in Mahler for the last several years, so they must be pretty good.

Barry--It's just above the cover image on that page, next to the release date.  Should be an interesting release.  I'm gonna get it!
