Title: Rattle/B.P.O. M8 - anyone hear it yet?

Rattle M8 from Berlin  .    .   .   does it have tam-tam at the end?   .   .  sufficient organ?    .    .    .  how's Johan Botha, great as always?    .    .    .

I've watched the performance they have up on the BPO website and it's much better than his EMI account. Big tam smashes, adequate organ (not a roaring jet engine like his EMI recording though), and I remember Botha sounding fine but it didn't stand out. I wasn't paying particular attention to it though.

Let's hope this all translates well to CD / digital.

I remember the second salvo of tam and cymbal smashes being a bit off time, but it didn't really detract because the two players were at least still together. Maybe they can adjust it for the audio release.
