It's a very neat idea.

I think I'd have preferred if there was less emphasis on how the work begins [some might have forgotten] and more on highly memorable elements.

Wonder if it would work as well by concentrating on endings; tho' that does assume the neophyte gets to the end of the relevant masterpiece. [Which is what they all are.]
