It looks like this set includes a CD of M6th recording by Zinman.

Is this recording the SAME as the one included on the SACD?

I bet it is NOT, and is not in SACD format either.

I just ordered a copy - estimated ship date is February 9.   I've found that stuff that says "ships in 6 - 14 days" can be very hit or miss with ever showing up, so I'll post when I get it and if it's SACD or not.

Somebody, please let me know what the CD contained in this set really is, i.e., whether it is identical to the SACD or from a different recording session.

I don't want to end up buying the same recording twice just for the sake of the video.

We'll see what shows up with it. I just ordered it, along with Bruno Walter's New York Das Lied in that new remastering.

The ad. says as a bonus the buyers get the symphony on a separate single CD. But how could the entire recording of the symphony fit on a single disc (the timings on my SACD add up to close to 82 min.)? Maybe it's from a different source??

John,

They've somehow managed to update the CD format to now hold a bit over 80 minutes - Thielemann's Bruckner 5 is, according to my player, 82:33 on one CD.

If that is true, then it must be a regular CD, NOT the SACD which I already own.
