Hans--
Go to the British site, http://www.mdt.co.uk/MDTSite/pages/home/, and search for "Steinberg Mahler" under New Releases. You can get it for L10.25 -- $16.xx US, and the shipping is not much as I recall. Mine is on order.
Good luck.

I heard Steinberg's Mahler concerts of the 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and DLVDE (with BSO and NYPO). If my memory is not too vague, I recall they were all decent to excellent with solid lines, good structure and high musicality. As usual with this conductor, he always kept things moving along at flowing tempi and omitted exposition repeats wherever they are there. But it's been too long ago so I can't make detailed comments at this point.

Lo and behold, I found it on Naxos Music library as a new release. Just gave it a run through, but unfortunately was interrupted a couple times, so this was not a concentrated listen. Quite a nice performance, chorus was excellent and as mentioned a fairly brisk and moving performance. It would not displace the best of the lot, but is worth exploring.
