Hallo together,
I've seen a new DVD ist out now about the world premiere of Mahler's 10th symphony as a new version by Yoel Gamzou. I've seen some minutes in TV and I'm impressed!! Go to www.folipro-berlin.de and have a look there.

I just noticed this post stuck in the Buy/Sell Forum and moved it here.
However, I'm not sure if the link or the release are legitimate.

FYI -- I placed an order for this. I'll let everyone know if it is legit.

Is there some question about the legitimacy? There are a few, very brief snippets out there on Youtube type video excerpts. To my ears, the playing from his young Berlin based musicians sounds pretty darn good. One excerpt is from the finale, right before the solo bass drum makes its reappearance after the high strings have taken up the "flute melody". What's kind of weird though, is that Gamzou adds a big bass drum roll shortly before the return of the solo bass drum strokes - best to let that solo bass drum stroke sound stark as possible, don't you think? In other words, don't prepare it.

Well, only that this appears to be a single source for the DVD -- one that is not your typical source for classical releases -- and a new source to me. I understand that this is by design (i.e. it appears to be THEIR release/recording).
So if anyone was interested, but concerned about sending money to a new/unknown source, I've decided to be the guinea pig.

Sweet! Hey, sorry the Texans did so poorly this year - they really fizzled out. Are you guys getting a new head coach as well?
I guess they'll be announcing soon if Harbough will be returning to Stanford or not, any hour now. With Andrew Luck returning to Stanford for his senior year, Stanford has a real good shot at the BCS title next year.
