For those interested, there is a recording of Andris Nelsons and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra performing M9 available for listening on BBC Radio 3 until Tuesday: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b00y6kqg/Performance_on_3_CBSO_Turnage_Mahler
Overall, I thought it was pretty good. The second movement really had a nice, rustic quality about it and the Finale was slow and contemplative. Nelsons did not hesitate to speed up when necessary; evidence for example the the the first movement.
