Title: Did anyone check out the Gatti/VPO M9 from Leipzigfest?

I'll look at it Wednesday or Thursday night, but I was just curious?

I am listening to the first movt. now.

Gatti's reading is leaning towards the mainstream which is surprising because his previous recording of this work with an Italian orchestra showed the conductor in an interventionist mood. Tempos are steady and even throughout and the orchestra plays dutifully for him. But the brass outburst at the main climax of the movt is somewhat weak, albeit the tam tam is audible.

The sound quality on this site is not good enough to fully appreciate Gatti's music making and that's the downside.

I know that some of you suddenly get interested in timings when it comes to M9, so here are my fairly accurate (I think) measurements for the Gatti/VPO M9:  I - 29:15;  II - 15:35;  III - 12:35; IV - 26:10

Keep in mind that these numbers are probably a bit lower than if this were a commercial recording, as the record companies usually count a bit of empty space before and after each movement.

If my math is wrong anywhere, please correct me.
