Title: Portland (Maine) Symphony Orchestra to perform Mahler's 4th
Post by: hrandall on July 26, 2011, 01:41:56 PM
If there are any other New Englanders out there reading the board:

Assuming tickets are still available for non-subscribers when they go on sale next Monday, I'm planning to be there, and will bring my Mahler Thursday evening friend as a birthday present.

PS: I just noticed while posting this that I've now graduated from the rank of "Newbie" to "Jr. Member."  :)

A Moody conducting in Maine?  Very appropriate.
Wonder if he's ever traveled up coastal Route 1 to Waldoboro.

I got my tickets for this Mahler 4th today - I'm very excited. It will be the first M4 performance and only the second Mahler performance I've attended. Any other New Englanders on here also planning to attend?

Cheers,
Herb
