Title: Mahler Concertgebow DVD Collection.
Post by: oscar on October 01, 2012, 09:05:21 PM
The complete symphonies are being released by the Concergebow label, in DVD.  They were taped between 2009 and 2011.

Any ideas as to what to expect ??

best regards,

Oscar.

I think you can rest assured that it will range from good to excellent.

Was the conducting done by the same conductor throughout (Maris Janssons?) or was that duty shared?  I would assume that they were done in high definition.

If you click on the picture of the cover itself, you'll see who's conducting what symphony. Looks like a very good lineup.

It looks to be quite a lineup.  Thanks for providing the link, Barry.  Hopefully, it'll be available domestically.
