Title: tech. ? - is it safe to do this type of download?
Post by: barry guerrero on January 08, 2015, 06:30:58 AM
This is the only significant piece missing from my Jack Sheldon collection (jazz). It was issued on vinyl only, which now goes for about $70 at the cheapest. Doing this kind of zip download will save me that money. But is it safe?

Thanks in advance.

The only download I see here is for RAR extraction software. I don't see the album itself being offered as a download, nor would I expect to. Discogs will sell you this album, the cheapest offer right now being $9.99 from a guy in Ohio. Discogs has a good reputation, and the sellers tend to grade their vinyl quite fairly.

Thank you James. Now I understand - it was looking at this very late last night when I was looking at this.  I'll definitely go for the $10 one.

1 hour later:  Thanks, I made the purchase. Couldn't have been easier.
