Title: DLvdE/Bertini/Tokyo MSO/Fontec - Has Anyone Heard This One?
Post by: sperlsco on May 17, 2007, 03:16:02 PM
Has anyone heard the Japan CD of DLvdE by Bertini and the Tokyo MSO with Platts (Mezzo), Silvasti (Tenor) as the singers?

No, but I seem to recall reading a not-so-good review of this recording. Why don't you try the SACD edition of Reiner/CSO/RCA instead?

John,

John,

Absolutely!  There will finally be a worthwhile DLvdE in SACD.  I dislike the three I own (Boulez, Arming, and a dreadful chamber version).  I keep hoping for a new one(s) from big name conductors/orchestras/singers in that format, though.
