The Swedish baritone's "Mahler Songs" is a bare-bones production (Ladybird/Naxos Sweden), with a cover featuring the singer in a black t-shirt (minimal notes, and no texts or translations). But the performances of 6 of the Wunderhorn songs, Fahrendern Gesellen, and the Ruckert Lieder are just glorious. He's miked too close, but no matter--this is a keeper for the shelf.
