Title: Great composers living in NYC at the time of Mahler's death.

Just trying to come up with a list of the amazing talent living in New York City at the time Mahler lived there also. 

I have Scott Joplin, Aaron Copland (age 11), George Gershwin (age 14), Charles Ives, George M. Cohan, Irving Berlin.

I sure there were others.  Anyone else?
