I received an e-mail from the Vienna Symphony, informing me that there won't be an ORF broadcast of the recent Mahler 8 with Philippe Jordan. People who were there at the Konzerthaus said that it was a terrific performance. What I've heard from very, VERY short snippets on video, tells me that this was probably a very good performance on the fast side of the equation. Too bad.

If anybody learns of a broadcast of the less recent Andris Nelsons/Boston Symphony M8 performance, please let us know.

Nelsons and BSO performed the symphony at Tanglewood in 2015 and it was pretty excellent.
