Title: Neumann/CPO/Supraphon M8 (Japanese release)
Post by: Leo K on November 08, 2007, 10:54:52 PM
I just found this 15 minutes ago at the used record store on my lunch break.  It's just the M8 (with part II spilt between the two disks) and the liners are in Japanese.

I like Neumann and the CPO, so hopefully this is a good!  I recall Mahlerite ( a poster on the old board) praised this recording.

There are one or two Slavonika Wobbleskaya type singers in the cast. But beyond that, it's very good - very naturally recorded.

Barry, are you implying that Slavic singers wobble too much?
Well, you may wanna hear how singers over here in Taiwan do it! ;D
