Title: the ormandy 10th

i received the ormandy/philly m10 (1st recording ever of the cooke version) cd for christmas.
i still have the lp and like it, but the cd is better...and i seldom say that!
this is one to enjoy if you haven't done so yet.

I still think that the Ormandy is the best overall recording of any of the three Cooke M10 versions. In fact, I rate it among the greatest Mahler recordings ever.
