I'm guessing that it's a "historical" recording of some sort.

Historical, yes: 1954. Winfried Petrus Ignatius Zillig (* 1. April 1905 Würzburg; † 18. Dezember 1963 Hamburg) was a pupil of Schoenberg, composer and conductor. 1947 - 1951 he was chief conductor at the Radio-Symphony-Orchetsra of Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt. Then he was responsible for the music department of Norddeutscher Rundfunk. He belonged among the first conductors to perform M8 after the war and before the 1960s Mahler renaissance; he also performed Operas by Schreker when veirtually noone els did: Ferne klang in 1955 and Die gezeichneten, 1960.
