Title: Mahler #5 on Everest reissue
Post by: MichaelO on April 14, 2008, 09:14:18 PM
Hi.

Was browsing over at MDT and noticed a handful of Everest titles being issued.  They all bear the original covers and look of Everest LPs.  One of the releases is http://www.mdt.co.uk/MDTSite/product/NR_May08/EVERCD011.htm.  Schwartz's reading of M5.

Ludwig/LSO/Everest M9th was a top notch in a vivid, warm, and crisp late 50's analogue recording. I hope they reissue that recording as well.

Both the Rudolf Schwarz M5 and Leopold Ludwig M9 are exciting and quite solid for their time. I mentioned both of them in my Gergiev/LSO M6 review, posted at Amazon.
