Just an F.Y.I. The Hans Vonk/St. Louis S.O. M4, as well as the DVD of Abbado/Lucerne Fest. Orch. doing M3, will be released in the U.S. on Sept. 30th by Naxos.
I have a burn job of the Hans Vonk M1 and like the "Turangalila Symphony" from the same folks, and it's surprisingly good. Well recorded too.

I'm not too psyched about the other releases, but I will get the Fourth. It was Vonk's last concert as music director. At the time, it seemed like it was a great concert. We'll see if that holds up.

MY BAD - it is the M4! The soprano is somebody named Esther Heideman. The timings look very normal: I - 17:11; II - 10:12 ; III - 20:01; IV - 9:07

I edited your original post to correct which symphony is being released -- hope you don't mind!

Barry, would you please check to see whether the Abbado - Lucerne Festival Orchestra M3 DVD is being issued by Naxos, as your message seems to say? Maybe EuroArts? A couple of months ago, EuroArts said it would be available in the U.S. in August. Haven't seen it here yet . Thanks.

Euroarts is distributed by Naxos in the U.S. However, I think it might have been a different label name this time. I think it should be posted at Amazon by now.
