Title: Vonk/SLSO M4 & DVD of Abbado/LFO M3 coming out in U.S. in late Sept.
Post by: barry guerrero on August 16, 2008, 03:00:17 AM: Just an F.Y.I. The Hans Vonk/St. Louis S.O. M4, as well as the DVD of Abbado/Lucerne Fest. Orch. doing M3, will be released in the U.S. on Sept. 30th by Naxos.

I have a burn job of the Hans Vonk M1 and like the "Turangalila Symphony" from the same folks, and it's surprisingly good. Well recorded too.

I'm not too psyched about the other releases, but I will get the Fourth. It was Vonk's last concert as music director. At the time, it seemed like it was a great concert. We'll see if that holds up.

Maybe EuroArts? A couple of months ago, EuroArts said it would be available in the U.S. in August. Haven't seen it here yet . Thanks.
