Some really insightful and interesting interviews on Mahler with Boulez, MTT, Welser-Most, Eschenbach, etc.

If you haven't seen these, they are wonderful. Enjoy.

Most people would not consider Welser-Most to be a great Mahler conductor. But there was a burn-job floating around, with him doing that M8 with the Gus. Mahler Jugendorchester that was pretty darn good. I have a burn job of him doing M3 with Cleveland that's absolutely stunning - superbly well played!

I have high expectations of Welser-Most to do Mahler. He conducted M8 with GMJO here some years ago and received very good reviews( unfortunatelly I couldn't went to the concert)

Also keep everyone an eye for Ingo Metzmacher! A M3 with GMJO last April was great.
