The Japanese notes says these SACDs are based on a new remastering done on the original UK tapes.

$133.22 in U.S. dollars for the Japanese SACD versions of these same recordings as against what I paid about $24.50 for the standard CD version by Warner Classics?  No thanks!  Besides, the remasterings of the Warner Classics from 2011-12 sound perfectly fine for me!

I have a slightly different opinion on the Warner release. Yes, the transfers sound terrific but to my ears they are different form what I recall from my old EMI LPs; for one thing the bass is enhanced unrealistically while the mid range is weak.
