I have the "Carnegie Hall" box of this cycle. This appears to be a budget priced one.

I wonder how many different times we'll need to hear the same recordings before Sony decides to start funneling their money towards things like younger talented conductors, composers, and orchestras that deserve more exposure. I think their recent Michael Sanderling/Dresden Shostakovich cycle is case in point. It's quite good yet no one knows about it!

Either way I'm sure I'll listen to this release on Spotify or something. I'm overdue for a Bernstein/Columbia revisit. And for newcomers to Mahler this is actually a heck of a bargain.
