I may want to get this, but will wait to hear it on Spotify first. I can't tell if it's on one to two discs (?).

single disc.

1-minute samples are available for the Mahler 1 recording on Presto. Sounds pretty good! Especially the horns.
I believe this is a live recording from the late 80s.
-
The M9 is now available for download on Presto, and streamable on Spotify.
I. 25:45
II. 15:16
III. 12:59
IV. 25:05

Damn! I might have to get this one as well. These timings are similar to Alan Gilbert's on BIS. I like it.

The first movement of this Adam Fischer M9 has the best tam-tam smash at the main climax (anti-climax) since the 1987 Karajan. In fact, it actually sounds better. It's on Spotify now.
-
The cymbals in all the climaxes are enormous in this recording. The only weird thing for me is the end of the third movement where Fischer does these ritards before each time the music accelerates. I feel like I’ve heard this somewhere else before. Anyone know?
