I would like to trade my L.P.O. Tennstedt box set (the L.P.O.'s own set) AND my Haitink Kerstmatinees Mahler set, towards your superfluous and now unwanted Berliner Philharmoniker Mahler box. Plus, I would be willing to hand over a small negotiated sum of money to make the deal equitable. Your box must be free of fingerprints and/or scratches on the discs. My discs are kept flawless. If interested, send me a PM.

I don't have the BPO Mahler set but here is a tip.
Why don't wait until BPO reissues the box set on SACDs?
That's what they've just done to BPO Bruckner set at a price lower than the original release that was not on SACDs.

That sounds good. Do you think they'd be forthright enough to reveal their plans?

Barry,
I am afraid they don't. But judging from how fast they were to reissue the Bruckner set, I'd imagine it will happen in a few months from now. You know, a Mahler set by BPO should be more popular than a Bruckner set by the same orchestra.
I've heard Sibelius/BPO cycle on CDs & the same set on SACDs. The latter sounded far far better.

OK, I'm going to take your good advice and hope for the best.

I'm still willing to make this trade, if anybody is dissatisfied with their Berlin Phil. Mahler box.
