I must admit that this is really a fine M9th recording. As in the M6th CD that the same conductor/orchestra/label made a few years back this M9th boasts sensible tempo, balance, and admirable level of forward momentum. It also has a nice, natural flow, some beautiful phrasing. The playing is excellent, the sonics warm and with plenty of ambiance. There is not a single moment I can criticize. This might have been a live Bernard Haitink recording in 70's albeit a different orchestra. Timings are,
27:22
16:57
12:11
23:24
Highly recommended.
