Exton octavia streaming
« on: November 02, 2021, 02:25:25 PM »
Hello all
With great regret I saw that exton records stop the streaming services, for example in tidal and Spotify.
Does anybody has any info?
There were nice performances in stunning sound, such as Mahler by Inbal and Macal, Tchaikovsky by Lazarev or the splendid Haydn by Iimori.

Oh dear, that is a pity. Why Exton just sits on their catalog and won't sell it to someone else is beyond me. It would be nice if the Pittsburgh Symphony could get ownership of their Mahler with Honeck. Reference Recordings has become close to useless as well.

As it seems Exton still streaming for Spotify but not for Tidal.
This also is something to regret because the sound in Spotify is not as good as the hi-res Tidal. Let's hope that Spotify will upograde to hifi later this year as had been announced already.
