Little Drummer Boy?
« on: September 24, 2007, 03:10:59 PM »
I see this was recently released and seems to have decent distribution, I stumbled across it at a few different stores.

I've never seen it, in fact I can't say I've even heard of it....has anyone who has seen it have any comments or reviews?

I have this in VHS, its original format. It's an interesting lecture/demonstration by Lenny Bernstein, in which he connects Mahler's ethnic background and compositions. There is moreto it  than that, but that's what I recall at this moment.

I feel safe in recommending it to other Mahlerites and will get the DVD myself..

Leo,

It appears to use excerpts from his video cycle that he recorded for Unitel, now out on DG. As I recall, it's less than 90 minutes long, which isn't short by any means. I'm curious to see this myself.

Barry
