Thanks, but I'll be at work at that time. They usually use Paiste gongs in Paris anyway. They ring on for a long time, but the timbre of most Paistes is too close to the cymbals that are unison with the gong on the last three strokes. I don't think that they have any real rockin' organs in Paris either, except in the big cathedrals. I could wrong about that.

Who, me? I can barely afford to drive across the bay, much less fly across the country. I've been trying to get to L.A. for a couple of years now. If I had the free time, I'd take the Greyhound bus out east - they have some great deals.
I would definitely want to hear M8 in Verizon Hall, with that outrageous new organ they've installed. Carnegie Hall would have to drag out an electronic organ. At least you'll hear a really good Wuhan gong with Philly. I'm curious as to how the young, female tuba player is doing in Philly (I'm sure she's doing great).
She plays on a Perantucci PT-6, which are becoming more popular than the various copies of the 6/4 size York tuba (Chicago).
