Caveat everyone!

It's happened again.  A friend who was moving gave me an M3 by Abbado.  However Deutsche Grammophone had packed it with those foam inserts to prevent rattling.  Perhaps the cd set had not been opened for some years, but I immediately saw that the foam had disintegrated, leaving a gummy adhesive on the cds. 
I've tried water and Windex, but with little success.
Fortunately, I have another identical copy, so the shock at such a loss is more bearable.
I just wanted to remind everyone to open those cd sets, check for foam inserts, and if you find them, remove them immediately!

Good reminder, John. I removed many of these myself when I noticed they were disintegrating
