This is a truly great Mahler 3 with Daniel Harding/K.Karneus/Swedish Radio S.O. I don't know if it's easy to burn discs from Youtube (the sound is very good), but I will gladly pay someone for their expenses and time.

Haven't had a chance to listen to it but sampled the ending.  I found it very tame and underwhelming.

That's the same audio found on the YouTube posting Barry linked to in his original post—it's undergone some serious dynamic compression. There's a cleaner version floating around on the Internet, captured directly from Bartók Radio without all the dynamic "squashing." Not sure that would mitigate your "tame and underwhelming" impression, though.

I've listened twice and find the performance quite impressive.

I've now listened to the whole first movement.  It was terrific.  I then skipped to the end and had a second listen.  Still underwhelmed.  I think it's because the timps hardly make any impact at all.  Anyway, that's my impression.  Have to make time to listen to the whole performance and see what I think after that.
