I first attended a concert conducted by young Lahav Shani (http://intermusica.co.uk/artist/Lahav-Shani) last January in Turin. I was there to listen to the wonderfully gifted Beatrice Rana playing Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto and I did not hear anything about him until that evening, despite the fact that, in 2013, he won the Gustav Mahler International Conducting Competition in Bamberg. So, I was enormously surprised when, after the intermission, he conducted one of the most magnificent performances of Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony I have ever heard. During the slow movement I was almost moved to tears.

I looked for him on the internet and I found this HD video with a complete M1 he conducted in Göteborg two years ago (when he was 25 then):

His talent is very promising, I will definitively keep an eye on him and I advise you to do the same.

Well, from September 2018 he'll be chief at the Rotterdam Philharmonic, so I'll definitely check his concerts out by then!
The Göteborg M1 is very nice!

... and in 2018 he will conduct Schoenberg Pelleas and Melisande with the Concertgebouw Orchestra.
