We Mahler fools - still lucky!

How lucky we are. It's so soon after the pandemic, yet performances of Mahler symphonies have come roaring back nearly everywhere. Two new great additions to the Mahler discography are up on Spotify today: Bychkov/Czech Phil. M2 and Vanksa/Minnesota M9 as well.

I like them both too^ They are really excellent performances and recordings.

I also really like both of them. So far there isn't anything in either of them that are "dealbreakers" for me. For the most part, they're both solid in every way.

I'm really looking forward to Vänskä's M3 in particular, mostly because of BIS's engineering. And for Bychkov I want to hear the M1 and M3 as I feel the Czech Phil will excel in those.
