Oh, Lord, why another M4? ??? :-[

The world is saturated with M4 recordings....Please no more :-[

Why not a M7 or a M9 instead? :'(

Well, Fisher seems to be one of the better Mahler conductors.  So I am most interested in his M4.  Also, I have heard a few Opera Share performances (Boulez, Chung - IIRC) with Mia Persson as the soprano.  She has an excellent voice for this piece.  It may not be boyish -- a la Reri Grist -- but it is pure and innocent, with a well controlled vibrato.

I am looking forward to it.  Of course, I share your longing for more M7's.

Wow, 2009 is off to big start. I thought that Channel Classics was, "going to call it a day", when it came to Fischer's Mahler. I'm happy to see them plowing ahead.
