It's a bit glitzy in that MTT/S.F. way, but it does sound promising. Enjoy.

I must admit the ending of M8 / I sounds absolutely stunning in this clip!  :o With the very audible brass giving the whole thing some kind of neo-baroque splendour.
Yet, I feel that the very last chord of the entire symphony could be held just a little longer... but, well...  ::)

I like it too.

But as usual with MTT his tempos sound somewhat extreme - a very fast ending to Part I. and a very slow ending to Part II. ???

I downloaded just the Chorus Mysticus track from iTunes, just to get a feel for the ending of Part II.  It is indeed a grand drawn-out ending with VERY audible tam-tams and a powerful bass drum roll.  However, the orchestra doesn't seem to have enough "bloom" -- although perhaps the MP3 (which is a fairly high-rate vbr) limits this to an extent.   The organ could stand to be a bit better, but it seems pretty decent.

I'll certainly order this from Amazon when it's released, but will not repeat my previous practice of purchasing through the SFSO site -- since they are selling it for $40+ (including shipping).

I'm getting a 'not found' error when clicking that URL.  Did they kill it?
