It's a pretty good performance from the Colorado Mahlerfest, 1999. They are actually railway engine bells which used to be hung on the front of steam locomotives and which were loaned specifically for the performance.

Did you see that one person commented that those bells are totally wrong, and that Mahler wanted tubular chimes? Funny, because Mahler simply writes 'tiefe glocken', and even had his own set of bells cast (casted?) at some foundry.
