LUCERNE FESTIVAL ORCHESTRA | Bavarian Radio Chorus (Chorus Master: Peter Dijkstra) | Swedish Radio Choir (Chorus Master: Peter Dijkstra) | T?lz Boys? Choir (Chorus Master: Gerhard Schmidt-Gaden) | Claudio Abbado conductor | Juliane Banse soprano | Evelyn Herlitzius soprano | Anna Prohaska soprano | Anna Larsson contralto | Sara Mingardo alto | Ren? Pape bass

it seems they don't have the tenor and the bariton yet.

For me, the tenor is the 'biggee' (a big deal, in other words).

Yes, the tenor is important for me too, but, OH!  Juliane Banse (s) and Anna Larsson (alt)--two of my favorites!

WOW!   How lucky for you SB.

Darn it!  M8 is cancelled "for artistic reasons".

Thank's Roffe.

Actually it is a half surprise considering Abbado's difficult connection with M8. But why was this decision made and announced so late ?
I lets a feeling of being cheated somewhere.
Sure I will not go to Lucerne to listen to Beethoven's stage music for Egmont and Mozart's Requiem which have been programmed in place of.
