"Best Mahler Recording" award from the Gustav Mahler Society of America?

I read about this award in several recordings, like three by Bernstein, but could not find much information about the award. Does anyone know of this award? When did it start and is it still being awarded? I couldn't find any information on the society's website.

If anyone is interested at all, the society that gave the award turned out to be the Gustav Mahler Society of California, whose president Avik Gilboa passed away in 2014.
