De Waart’s RCA Mahler
« on: October 30, 2020, 11:18:44 PM »
Hello, does anyone know of a good place to download or acquire the De Waart Mahler cycle? I’m going to try to Inter-Library Loan it, but knowing our crazy times; I figured a digital source might be good.

E-Bay prices for just the individual symphonies are just insane. It's a very good cycle, but not THAT good.

http://www.discogs.com is an alternative to eBay.  I just checked at Discogs.com, as there currently are no copies available for sale right now, but they apparently come and go.  I got my copy for $90 a few months ago.  Check back at Discogs.com every so often to see if a copy is available.

It would be great if Sony decided to reissue this set in a budget box.

Yes it would. I'm thinking that's not likely to happen now, given that RCA just recently reissued the Zinman cycle in a budget priced box.
