S.F. Symphony jumps right back into the Mahler game.

Here's a KDFC Radio 'on demand' recording of M7 performed in Sept., with MTT conducting. I like it better than his almost sterile recording of it on the SFS' own label (I prefer his LSO/RCA recording of M7). This is really pretty good!

KDFC will broadcast an even more recent M2 with Esa-Pekka Solenen tomorrow night, Tuesday 10/11 (8pm west coast time). Michelle De Young will be the mezzo.

This is good news! Thanks for the heads up. I’m still a fan of MTT’s SFS cycle.

Well then check out THIS M7 because the finale, in particular, is much better than the commercially recorded one they did.
