"Discovery Day: Mahler" at Carnegie Hall next Saturday
« on: April 28, 2009, 11:42:12 PM »
The presentation of the Mahler Cycle by the Staatskapelle Berlin, led in turn by Boulez and Barenboim from May 6 to May 17, will kick off with an afternoon of discussions, talks, and performances on May 2. Henry-Louis de La Grange will give the keynote address, speaking on Mahler in New York; Gilbert Kaplan and Sedgwick Clark will also speak. Sorry to say, I will not be able to be there. Will any of you?

Wow! That's some high powered Mahler. Have fun - that should be great.

??? Didn't ANYONE from this group attend this event?

If you did, please let the rest of us know about it. Did Kaplan do his PowerPoint show? What did Henry-Louis de La Grange have to say? Or Sedgwick Clark?
