Need help! Italian documentry on Mahler
« on: December 23, 2011, 09:29:07 PM »
I recently viewed a documentry in Italian on YouTube on Mahler that ran about an hour and a half.

For the life on me, I can't find it now, no matter which search titles I use.

Does anyone know the doc I'm referring to?  HLdlG, Abbado, Boulez were all interviewed.
Filming was made in Toblach and New York amoung other places.

This one fits your description (88 minutes; with HLdLG, Abbado, Boulez, et al; 2011) except the original language is French, not Italian:

Autopsie d'un genie
Autopsie eines Genies
Autopsy of a Genius

No that's not it. It was definately an Italian production.

Thanks anyway, that doc was good nonetheless.

No that's not it. It was definitely an Italian production.

Is it possible this is what you saw? It's the above documentary with an Italian introduction and Italian subtitles, apparently redone for Italian television:

The swiss channel RSI1 broadcasted the very same documentary in a full italian version. I have it recorded in my TV, but unfortunately not in a format which could be read from other equipment.
