placé sous le signe de Gustav Mahler – avec les plus grands chefs et
ensembles du monde et des retransmissions en direct sur ARTE.

l’intégralité du Festival International Mahler de Leipzig. Pas moins de

Leipzig neuf autres phalanges internationales parmi les meilleures au
monde. Ce sera du 18 au 29 mai sur la plateforme Internet ARTE Live Web.

I'm confused. According to that German site, the M3 with Salonen/Staatskapelle Dresden won't get broadcasted. You have to know too much - I'm not bothering.

Thanks! I don't understand why the MDR would skip the Staatskapelle broadcast when the Staatskapelle falls under the MDR blanket. Go figure.

I'm sorry,I put my trust in the Leipzig fest website (Mahler in the media) . I've visited the MDR website and saw that M3 will be broadcasted .

I just watched the "Resurrection" at this site: http://www.mdr.de/mahler

I would urge everyone to check this out. Chailly has the Gewandhaus percussion section bashing the daylights out of their Wuhan tam-tams. You guys think I'm a nutcase - Chailly's insane! Of course, he was also a drummer and percussionist himself - so that explains it. The organ in the new hall sounds great! For me, the sound was ahead of the picture though. Still, it sounded pretty darn good, and this would make a very good DVD! Incidentally, Chailly had the chorus stand at the end of the 5th movement's march section. Some people wait until "aufverstehen".
