I have modified the link. It works directly now.

I like how it is filmed. You are really 'in' the performance.

The conductor is Tugan Sokhiev .

Folks, please do take a look at this.
It's outstandingly well-filmed and well-performed.

The soloists (Anastasia Kalagina, sop. and Janina Baechele, m-s) are both superb and the choir and orchestra match this excellence, led by a precise conductor.

For those like me, who enjoy SEEING the performance as well as hearing it, this filmed concert is a treat, with very well-done close-ups of musicians without a disruptive affect on the listener's appreciation for the work.

Really, if you love M2, you simply MUST see and hear this.

Here are the steps I used:

1.  Google  Medici TV;   go there  and register your email and a password

2.  Use the search box at the top right to search for  Sokhiev: Mahler 2

3.  Scan down to "Live Performances" and look for Sokhiev's Mahler 2

4.  Sit back and enjoy the most amazing M2 you've seen and heard in years!

Really, it's worth the small effort to locate this performance.

As some of you may remember John Adams (William Daniels) saying in the musical, "1776":

"Is anybody there?    Does anybody care?"

This M2 by Sokhiev is so well-done and wonderfully photographed that, if you've ever loved M2, you absolutely owe it to yourself to see this NOW, while you still have the opportunity!

Again, here's how I did it:

1. Google Medici Tv

2.   Register:  enter your email address and choose a password

3.  Log on to Medici.TV

4.  Click LIVE

5.  Click  Orchestre National du Capitole

6.  Click  Sokhiev: M2

Really, this is absolutely among the very best M2s you'll ever see!

Don't miss this opportunity!

I have seen/heard the performance several times. It has weight and breath. The last movement is phenomenal. Outstanding choir (orfeo Donostiarra).
