Emil Berliner Studios? (DG)

Hi,

I'm passing the dreary winter days - well, dreary by California standards - by having myself a Bartok (Boulez) festival. I have the Boulez box of the complete Bartok. I've noticed that these recordings were mastered by the Emil Berliner studios, the 'upshot' of which is that they sound pretty darn good - better than I remember the original releases sounding. Has anyone tried the Boulez Mahler box yet?

I've listened to some samples of the Boulez Mahler box on JPC Germany, and I've noticed that the Boulez's "DLvdE" seems to sound a bit better than it did in the original release (I never thought that highly of it). Anybody else experience this kind of difference?
