OT-Yannick Extends His Phila. Orch. Contract and Is Named Met Music Director

This wasn't too much of a surprise (becoming Metropolitan Opera Music Director), other than the timing with which it came, as the Philadelphia Orchestra is just completing its Far East tour.  He will continue to be Philadelphia Orchestra Music Director through the 2025-26 season.

This will work out quite well for him, commuting-wise.  All he needs to do is to lease apartments in NYC and Philadelphia, get on AMTRAK and travel the 100 miles between the two cities.
